Greater Fort Myers Home Staging Services

Staged Homes sell faster and/or for more money than homes that are not staged. Why? A home that has been staged by an Accredited Staging Professional will convey the emotional message to a prospective buyer that says ‘I am ready for you to move right in…you can visualize yourself in this house’.

I see the interior of many, many homes for sale in the Greater Fort Myers area, and I also see the buyer’s reaction to them as we tour the home. The more ‘stuff’ a home has in it…furniture, photographs, collections, nic-nacs, odds and ends…you get the idea…the more distracting it can be for the buyer to clearly see the house itself.

I also see how buyers react to a home that is furnished appropriately for the size and room function, with a few low key,  decorative accents and as much open space as possible. You know what? There is always a positive reaction to a home like this.

The reason is simple. There is nothing that gets in the way of the buyer being able to see this house as their own home.

Here is a simple explanation of HOME STAGING:

HOME STAGING is professionally preparing homes for sale, so that they appeal to the MOST  buyers and generate the HIGHEST PRICE in the LEAST amount of time on International Association of Home Staging Professionalsmarket. Staged Homes traditionally present themselves better than the competition by being clean, clutter-free, and ready to show to prospective buyers.

Home Staging is NOT decorating, fluffing, interior design or redesign. Instead, Home Staging is detailing, de-cluttering, depersonalizing and preparing a seller’s home to give it a “model home” appearance so that the potential buyer can “see” themselves living in the home.

If you are thinking of selling your home, or perhaps your home is currently listed for sale, wouldn’t you like to be in that 95%? I can make sure that you’re there!

Living Room Before Staging

Living Room Before Staging

When you live in your home, it is personalized to your own decorating style, lifestyle and day-to-day family living. That’s wonderful, but guess whatAll of those things that are so near and dear to you may well have the opposite effect on a prospective home buyer!

Buyers searching for a home on the internet will most often look at the photos and decide right then and there whether or not to make an appointment to view the residence.  If your home is for sale and the photos show rooms chock full of furniture, collections, nic-nacs and clutter, it will be less appealing than a home that is clean, clutter free and emotionally unattached!

That’s where I come into the picture.  As an Accredited Staging Professional®, I help home sellers  turn their home into a house, a product if you will, that removes the personalization (and clutter), and creates a spacious, clean, welcoming house for potential buyers to see, with no distractions that can dissuade them from seeing this house as their very own home.

Living Room After Staging

Living Room After Staging

As the ASP providing Greater Fort Myers home staging services, I have no sentimental memories or ties to your home and belongings, so I can help you look clearly at what is inside and outside of your home. Together, we will create a product that will appeal to potential buyers quickly, through online images and when they tour the residence. See my Staged Properties.

The two Living Room photos in this section & those below,  courtesy of www.stagedhome.com®,  show how the space was utilized by the seller before ASP® home staging took place, and once again after the staging was complete.

In these photos you’ll notice:

  • Less furniture,
  • neutral tones (sometimes we’ll switch furniture from one room to another, to create the look we are after),
  • minimal accessories and decor,
  • and in this example the walls were painted a light neutral shade to create a more spacious and light appearance.
